Nissan recalls nearly 643,000 vehicles over engine and transmission risks

TL;DR

Nissan is recalling 642,698 Rogue compact SUVs for separate engine and gear problems.
Recall 1 (R25E2): 323,917 Rogues (model years 2023-2025) with 1.5L VC-Turbo engines have potential engine bearing failure, risking oil leaks and fire.
Recall 2 (R25E3): 318,781 Rogues (model years 2024-2025) with the same engine have potential electronic throttle body gear breakage, increasing accident risk.
Both recalls stem from issues that can cause a loss of vehicle power.
The affected vehicles will be inspected and repaired free of charge by dealers.
Owners will receive notification letters on March 27, 2026.
