Kenyan court blocks opening of U.S. Ebola quarantine center on air base

A Kenyan High Court judge has temporarily blocked a Trump administration plan for an Ebola quarantine facility on the Laikipia Air Base.
The restraining application was filed by the non-profit Katiba Institute, citing lack of transparency and public participation.
The facility was intended to serve Americans exposed to or infected by Ebola without the risks of a lengthy trip back to the U.S.
The Kenyan court issued an order restraining the establishment of any Ebola exposure, quarantine, isolation, or treatment facility in Kenya.
The Law Society of Kenya has also filed a petition against the proposed center.
The U.S. has offered $13.5 million toward Kenya's Ebola defense operations.
