Huge boost for WSL as Alexia Putellas agrees personal terms with London City

Alexia Putellas has agreed personal terms with London City Lionesses.
Putellas is considered one of the best players in the world and her potential arrival would be a landmark signing for the Women's Super League.
She left Barcelona after 14 years, winning 10 Liga F titles and four Champions League titles, along with the 2023 World Cup with Spain.
Putellas is a two-time Ballon d'Or winner and has also won the Fifa best women's player award and Uefa women's player of the year twice.
London City, an independently run club, also appears close to signing Mary Earps and Mapi León.
The club has recently received approval to build a new performance campus.
Putellas has 147 caps for Spain and scored twice in their recent World Cup qualifying win against England.
