So congratulations to Andreeva. She handled the conditions better, had the bigger game but showed patience too and fine touch, had the greater consistency and, despite that wobble when she was serving for the title, found a way to get over the finish line. And after all the drama and destruction of this women’s draw, Andreeva winning restores a sense of logic – just as Alexander Zverev claiming the men’s title tomorrow would.
