Hi and happy Sunday.

Today is Palm Sunday, the day Christians remember Jesus entering Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, heading into the week before his crucifixion. During Holy Week, we will remember the last supper with his disciples, his torture and execution, and next Sunday, his resurrection. Of course, in the middle of all that is Jesus’ betrayal by one of his own disciples: Judas Iscariot.

David Bisgrove—a retired pastor from Manhattan’s Redeemer Presbyterian Church, planted by Tim Keller—writes in today’s Dispatch Faith essay that Judas’ betrayal of Jesus was not the only meaningful betrayal that week. The Sanhedrin, which had plotted to have Christ killed, also betrayed Judas by turning him away once he expressed contrition.
