U.S. Launches Expanded Economic Offensive Against Iran

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced an intensified secondary-sanctions campaign, dubbed an economic D-Day or Operation Economic Outcast, to sever Iran's financial and trade lifelines. The measures target oil, shipping, cyber, aviation and other networks and warn foreign partners, including China, against continuing business with Tehran.
