Presley Gerber, the son ofsupermodel Cindy Crawfordand businessman Rande Gerber, has died. He was 27.

Presley's death was confirmed by Cindy’s representative to Fox News Digital, sharing a statement from the family: \"The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.\"

According to online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Gerber died Sunday at a rehabilitation facility.

TMZnoted that an autopsy has yet to be completed.

Presley was the only son of Cindy and Rande Gerber and the older brother ofmodel and actress Kaia Gerber.

Presley had been open about hismental health struggles,speaking publicly about them on social media and in interviews.

Kaia spoke about her brother's mental health and drug use toVoguein a cover story published in August 2026.

Vogue described Presley’s journey as a \"decade-long struggle with drug addiction.\"

Kaia, 24, told the outlet: \"When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone.\"

\"I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing,\" she added.

\"My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything—and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them,\" Kaia told Vogue, referring to Presley's openness on social media about his mental health and drug use struggles.

In December 2025, Presley shared an Instagram video — which he later deleted — speaking out about taking medications including Xanax, Valium and buprenorphine while discussing his panic attacks and recovery, according toPeople magazine.

\"Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,\" the outlet reported, noting that he said he wanted to reach \"people in many ways.\"

So you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time and I have a feeling that if I saw all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it. And the second thing is, hopefully I find some people out here and are willing to help or know someone that could help,\" he said, via People.

He also appeared on aStudio 22podcast in February 2023.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said he died Sunday at a rehab facility. The cause of death has not been released.TMZfirst reported the death.

Last month, his sister, who is also a model, Kaia Gerber, 24, toldVoguethat her brother’s drug use and mental health struggles had hit the whole family. “When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said.

Presley began modelingat 15 and appeared in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. He was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019. Last November, he said he was stepping back from social media to take care of his mental health.

A month later, he posted a video talking about his personal life.

In the video, Presley listed the drugs he said he was taking for night terrors and panic attacks.
“I feel like honesty is the best policy,” he said. He said he was on 1 milligram of buprenorphine — used for pain and opioid-use disorder — twice a day. He said his benzodiazepine doses had been “fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life.”

“Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently,” he said. “So that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now.” He did not say what the loss was.”

He said he also took Xanax at night, or when his “panic attacks are really, really bad,” and mentioned Valium. He said he no longer knew how much he was taking: “Who f***ing knows anymore.”

Doctors, he said, “say a lot of different things so it’s kind of scary. But hopefully between my research and their research and the world and God, we can finally figure this out.”

Parade Magazineshared that Presley previously revealed his wish to help others during a February 2023 interview on the Studio 22 podcast, saying, “I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”

“That’s really what I want to do—help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment,” he explained at the time. “I’ve seen a lot of stuff, and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.”

A representative for Crawford said the family is asking for privacy.
