And by the way, did you know that in 1924, the Supreme Court ruled that vinegar made from dried apples cannot be called apple-cider vinegar? That designation requires vinegar to be made using fresh apples.

Now, what’s really great here is the case name. Because the government was technically challenging the product and not the producer—and also because the government apparently did not feel like counting—the case was called United States v. Ninety-Five Barrels (More or Less) Apple Cider Vinegar.

Doesn’t sound like much of a fair fight to me. Indeed, the government won.
