Trump-endorsed Rep. Andy Ogles projected to lose GOP primary in Tennessee

Rep. Andy Ogles lost the Republican primary for his Tennessee House seat to Charlie Hatcher.
Ogles had received an endorsement from President Trump, but Hatcher was endorsed by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and former Gov. Bill Haslam.
Hatcher led Ogles by over six points with more than 80% of votes counted.
This is the second loss for a Trump-endorsed candidate in a House primary this week.
Ogles has faced controversy for past social media rhetoric and a campaign finance-related FBI investigation where his phone was seized but he was not charged.
Ogles was outspent by Hatcher, and a pro-clean energy super PAC spent significantly to support Hatcher.
Hatcher will face Democratic nominee Chaz Molder in the general election.
